Nicholas Vivan, one of the world's leading T20 fighters, retired from international service with the 29 -year -old West Islands.
Trinidadian played 167 times with the West Indies, but the decision will allow him to focus on playing in profitable concession tournaments.
He had already crossed the continuous T20 series against England to rest after his time playing with Leno Super giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He also has deals in the main cricket league (MLC) and a hundred this summer.
The West Indies said to Cricketand external: “We salute his accomplishments and thank him for the moments that fans gave all over the region and outside.
“We wish him all the best in the next stage of his journey.”
While Poran is not the first player to retire from the internationals in favor of the league championships – the action of Heinrich Klaasen from South Africa last week – his decision is one of the most important, given his era and personal file.
West Indies captain was asked about Poran's decision to skip the England series last week, but he said that the decision would not affect his future choice.
It is understood that Faqiran said that the Western Indian Islands are their retirement on Monday.
The last time he played in the West Indies in December 2024 in T20S against Bangladesh, but has not played ODI since July 2023 and does not play tests.
Poran is the most western Indians covered in the international T20 with 106, and the manufacture of T20i scorer with 2,275.
