The station revealed in a mysterious statement.
“News 5 wants to share our viewers to change our employees on the air. The meteorologist Mark Johnson is no longer working in WWS.”
The Vice President of WWS and General Manager Steve Winstein added that the station is taking “protection” its fans “seriously.”
“We want our fans to know that news 5 and its mother company, Skrips, take the protection of the confidence of our fans seriously by asking our employees to adhere to the highest ethical standards.”
“We cannot provide more details, because this is the issue of employees.”
Wews said they have already started searching for an alternative to Johnson.
The station wrote: “Our commitment to the being of the northeastern weather team turns into safety and accuracy is still fixed.”
Cleveland.com news manager, Judeland.com, told Cleveland.com that the station could not “comment more than what has been published on our website.”
The post reached news 5 for comment.
The meteorologist was widely shocked by the local population, who quickly moved to social media to depict their confusion and anger.

Although Johnson publicly made a statement on his departure from the station, the beloved Weatherman answered one user post on Saturday.
