A couple says that terrible food poisoning destroys their five -star romantic holidays, but their travel company refuses to help because the couple was unable to prove that they were not simply indifferent. David Lofts set out with Julia's wife on a 10 -day trip with Cape Verde with Toy to celebrate his 65th birthday in January.

But the spouses claim that they are starting to suffer from disease and diarrhea three hours after eating in one of the hotel's restaurants – and they say they only ate inside the hotel before they got sick. Julia says they spent the whole night on the toilet and had to ask the other hotel guests to help the next morning, because their room phone does not work.

The 52 -year -old said that the husband should be transferred to the local medical center in an ambulance and had to use animation because stomach pain left them unable to walk.

According to what was reported, Lofts had an emergency treatment with IV fluids and was given anti -homes. But when they raised this with the resort's director, Julia claims that he refused complaints because he said they were the only affected.

After returning home on January 23, Julia said she searched at the hotel on social media and claims that she had found other vacationers who reported food poisoning in the resort.

Toui responded to their complaints by saying that food poisoning could not be proven without a sample of stool or pictures that were illustrated. The holiday giant also told them that there is no “causal link” between their symptoms and any action from the hotel.

The company's customer services team said that people can have many reasons for the holiday, and they suggested that this be due to climate, humidity, “stress”, or even “excessive leniency.”

“It was a nice restaurant on the beach, we had salmon, and some basic powers and chitto each. We went to bed and started illness,” said Kenn.

“In the morning, I had to walk outside and knocked on the doors of people to ask for help because the phone was not working.

“We could never walk from pain, it was terrible. We had to pay more than 700 pounds for IV emergency treatment.

“The manager did not bear any responsibility and said that it did not happen often.

“They said we should provide stool samples. At some point, we'll do that? You cannot have strong evidence at the time. We asked if we had taken any pictures. I was not taking pictures of me sitting on the toilet and receiving.

“When they came back, which indicates that it could be anything, it was like emotional abuse. To suggest that the experience is incorrect or that we make it very difficult to hear.

The couple said that they should cancel their planned activities such as diving and diving because they were very sick, while they were tense to eat in the resort and had to get rid of money to eat abroad.

Although David felt improvement after treatment, Julia claims that her symptoms continued until her return to the United Kingdom. She added that she suffered from diarrhea for seven days after the holiday, and went to GP to her where she gave everything clear, but it took two other weeks to recover.

Julia said: “We were tense to eat there after that and we had to go out and spend additional money on taxis and restaurants. We had to cancel our plans, and we could not diving or diving. It destroys the holiday correctly,” Julia said.

“It is really disappointing, I am trying not to be upset with this, but it was a tragic, it was a special occasion, it's 65 years old, it's a big day. It is something we were looking forward to, it's a huge holiday for us.

“I still have diarrhea after seven days and went to GP surgery. Fortunately, there was no salmonella and I had to buy some probiotics drinks. All of this was taken away, it was not just a few days that was ruined, for me, it took a month to improve.

“We went to a comprehensive hotel to be safe and protected. I will not go anywhere with Tui again. If any error occurs, you are alone.”

TUI confirmed that their customer service team is in direct contact with the customer, but they were unable to help because the customer was unable to provide any evidence of the cause of the disease.
