Born at Vizolo Predabissi, 15 miles from San Siro and its most famous location, Acerbi sporting history began in 2006 in Pavia near Serie C.
After a loan talisman in Renate in Serie D, Acerbi began a tour of Italy with movements to RGGIA, Genoa and Chievo, where he first appeared in the first division, and appeared as one of the most promising defenders in the league.
AC MILAN, the club that he supported since childhood, has noticed its qualities. In 2012, he took a permanent transfer to Rossoneri where things did not turn as expected.
Akribi faced a problem, which in turn sparked others – a relationship that was not resolved with his father, his first admirer but also his first critics.
“He wanted to do me well, but without meaning, he would have gone to the extent of harm to me,” Akribi said recently about his father's continuous criticism.
“He was his first fan, but also his first pain in the neck. He always referred to the mistakes he made,” said Paulo Franchini, the psychotherapist who helped Akribi to make peace with his father over the years.
Now, when Acerbi raises his arms to the sky at the beginning of each game, he does this for him, but it was a long journey.
His father died shortly after his move to Milan. Akribi lost his balance and fell into depression.
“At the beginning of my career, I did not have the right position for the professional player,” he said later.
“I was often access to training, without completely recovering from the last night. I was physically strong, and that was enough for me.
“With my father's death, I hit Rock down. I no longer had any engine and I could no longer play. I was sick and drank anything.”
Just six months later, Roussonrei showed him to Chevo, then moved again to Sassuolo at the end of the season.
