Scottish referee Holly Davidson will become the first female to take a final responsibility for the European club when she takes the position of Bath V Lyon in the challenge Cup final at the emirate stadium in Cardiff on May 23.

Davidson was part of the teams working in the field of work in the last six countries and the Rugby Championship 2024.

It will also be the first Scott to rule the EPCR final since Jim Fleming in 1998, which Bath won against Briv in Bordeaux.

In July, Davidson will take over South Africa against Italy in Pretoria.

“The European Runbi game is the top of the professional game, and that it be called as the challenge cup final referee is something I did not think it was possible when it started,” Davidson told Scottish Rugby.

“It has been a long time since Scot finished my final, so I am only on the moon to be called as a ruling for such a big game.”
