The group was sent to confront a group of illegal miners in the region, but they were attacked and extracted.
Throughout the week, the gang sent threat messages to the families of the victims.
The mining company that used the workers, La Poderosa, said that the search and rescue teams regained their remains on Sunday.
The company said on Sunday: “This morningAfter intense search efforts, the police rescue team managed to restore the bodies of the 13 workers who were kidnapped […] By illegal miners in collusion with the criminal component. “
He continued: “The spiral of uncontrolled violence in Bataz occurs despite the declaration of a state of emergency and the presence of a large police division, which, unfortunately, was unable to stop the deterioration of security conditions in the region.”
PeruThe Ministry of the Interior said that the organizers of the organized crime were looking for deaths, and its customers pledged that they were “completely detailed to use their firearms if the circumstances call for that.”
In Trujillo, West Bataz, some relatives of the victims have waited that the bodies of their loved ones would be moved to the morgue there.
“We want justice, that this does not stop here only,” Abraham Domingoyes, who found his son Alexander dead.
Peru declared a state of emergency last month after it was afflicted with a wave of violent crime – with the mining industry a particularly evil battlefield.
La Podiosa said that 39 of her workers were killed by criminal groups fighting to control the mines around Bataz since operations began there in the eighties.
In December 2023, illegal miners attacked the same site with explosives, killing nine people and wounding at least 20.
An armed gang broke out with the explosives and other weapons to the mine, and four people were taken.
The bodies that were recovered from outside the mine showed signs of burns resulting from the bombing of the explosive devices.
The attackers raided the mine, “confronting internal security personnel violently from the company“The Ministry of Interior at Peru said at the time.
At least seven arrests were made and weapons were seized after this attack.

La Poderosa was formulated in more security guards in response to a series of attacks.
“Official mining is being attacked.
“Illegal mining today is the main illegal activity in the country, and the largest drug smuggling.”
Peru is a major gold and copper resource for the world.
It contains unusual tolerance of illegal workers, which allows to operate some protection because they are planning to give legitimacy to their operations.
The illegal mining has flourished in a profitable industry as minerals became more profitable and new mining techniques have appeared.
The Peruvian government has struggled to respond – and grass wars do not work increasingly.
