A TARGET shopper has been left fuming after their fragile delivery arrived smashed in a 'packing failure'.

A devastated customer will have a hard time replacing the limited edition item.

The shopper took to X to vent his frustration, posting a photo of the newly opened delivery.

Inside the box, there was a pair of painted ceramic mugs in a plastic wrap.

One appeared to show an image of a London street with a distinctive black taxi outside.

The other appears to be a red bus mug from the same assortment on Target's website.

But viewers can't tell, as it shatters into four pieces inside the box.

Furious, AS wrote: “Really the point – this is how China ships??

“Lucky one remained intact #packingfail.”

Even worse for AS is that the website notes that this mug was part of a limited-edition collection carried by Target on behalf of UK luxury department store Marks and Spencer.

It only costs $8 but is currently out of stock as of this evening.

They are also not available for delivery or special order.

Target has since responded to AS's post, promising quick action.

“We apologize that part of your order was damaged as we understand how frustrating this can be.

“We would be happy to look into this.

Please send us a direct message with your full name, email and order number for further assistance.

“We look forward to hearing from you.”

AS has yet to provide a status update since its initial post on December 31.
