The legend of the rocks was open about his lifelong battle with depression and drug abuse, but it was 40 years ago. “Sometimes I wonder if my parents know that I have been damaged – I have done all the things that people who fell in addiction and bad behavior are expected.”
He explains how his generation, which was hit in 1965, was retreating against his father. “I drew the line with my generation,” explains. “My father's music was his generation – love and romance after the war. We did not have this reason that we were – we needed to re -invent ourselves. The rock & roll was our generation. I was overcoming the generation of my big father band.”
