Jurgen Klopp, former Liverpool president, says he turned off his TV when he heard supporters shouting on Trent Alexander Arnold.
The 26 -year -old defender leaves the club at the end of the season and is expected to join Real Madrid.
Alexander-Arnold arrived at the six-year-old club and was a major component of Liverpool's success in the German Chloop, which included the first league title 30 years ago in 2019-20.
But after announcing his decision not to sign a new contract, some fans turned against the player and raised some of it when he got out of the alternative seat against Arsenal earlier this month.
Speaking at an LFC donation event on Friday, where he brought Alexander-Arnold shirt signed to a public auction, the former director said that supporters were “wrong” in Bo and fired an emotional defense of the full back of England.
“I don't want to tell you what you should think. I can tell you what you think is wrong,” Klopp said.
“I don't tell you that you are not angry, you should not be disappointed, I tell you unforgettable. This club is unforgettable.
“I saw the game when I came and heard screaming. [television] on. Frankly, I was not more disappointed at this moment. “
He highlighted the commitment of the Liverpool player to the club during the Klopp talisman as a manager.
“I was there. I can tell you, this boy gave him everything at all,” he said.
