Mcilroy became just a sixth player who wins all the four specialties with his victory in Ugusta National – a result that had a Shifler.
“It was really wonderful to see Ruri ending and there for that moment,” said two master's hero.
“He is a good friend here, so I was happy with him.
“It is necessary for life so that you can get a chance to win the main championships, not to mention winning all the four.”
Thomas, twice the winner of PGA in the United States – including in Quail Hollow in 2017 – said that Mcilroy's victory was an invitation to wake up.
“I knew that I always wanted to win Grand Slam, but for some reason, I watched someone to do it directly, reminding me that I really wanted to do it,” he said.
“It is strange. Anytime someone wins, if he is a friend, I am happy with them. But there will always be part of me who feels jealous and hopes that I am.”
This week, Spiet will arrive in search of the only missing address of its specializations. Texas, 31, was the last player to win in the first two years when he collected master's and United States titles in 2015. This was followed by winning in Royal Birkdale in the 2017 Open.
But in eight previous attempts, he was unable to complete the four job championships.
He said, “Watching Rori wins after she tried it for several years, it was inspiring,” he said.
“You can say it was a more difficult victory; most of the time makes it look much easier.
“I would like to throw my category in the ring and give it a chance on the weekend.”
Another American is keen to add it to its main balance of two people this week is Dechaambeau.
The 31 -year -old has a good operation in The Majors, after he ended the runner -up at Schauffle in the American PGA last year before Mcilroy attached to the open title in the United States the following month.
The couple was in the final master's group in Ugusta last month, and although Dechaambeau faded from the competition, he was keen to “go to it” with Mcilroy.
He added: “It is a golf field that creates well for its shapes, and is well prepared for me as well.”
“Maybe I do a good job, I may not do it. But I will definitely give her everything, and I know that I am too.”
Statistics indicate that if you finish Mcilroy on Sunday evening, you are likely to go home with Wanamaker Trophy.
