
A 53 -year -old man was arrested after a car hit a number of pedestrians in downtown Liverpool during a victory in the Premier League.
Eyewitnesses and joint videos on social media showed the car that drives a crowd of people with the spread of people.
Police say they do not deal with the incident as being linked to terrorism.
The details are still emerging, but this is what we know yet.
What happened?
Mercyside police said that a car collided with a number of pedestrians on Water Street after 18:00.
In a statement, the force said: “We were contacted at 18:00 today, Monday, May 26, and after reports it was a car in a collision with a number of pedestrians on Water Street.
“The car stopped at the scene of the accident and a male was arrested.”
The police later said that a 53 -year -old British man from Liverpool had been arrested and believed to be the driver.
The police said the incident is not dealt with as terrorism and believed to be isolated.
The ambulance service said that 27 people were transferred to the hospital for treatment, with two, including one child, seriously.
Other people were treated for injuries at the scene.
Four children were among the injured.
Mercyside President Nick Cyrle said that four people, including a child, were lifted from the bottom of the car.
What did the witnesses see?
The video displays the scene that plows in a group of people and then rushes before stopping.
Other shots show people who hit the car after stopping, while breaking the back windshield.
Many of the scene vehicles attended.
An eyewitness, BBC Matt Cole's correspondent, described a car that comes through the crowd as “not stopping.”
He said he was chased by a group of men “who were trying to explode on her side and threw things in it.”
The car was traveling with “more than 20 [mph]”.
He said that his initial assumption is that the driver only wants “the prominent through the crowds because they do not want to wait.”
Another witness, Matthew Ocarol, 28, from Ronkorn, the car is approaching the top of the water street.
He said that the car was traveling quickly “decent” and that the driver was making a sound passing through the crowd.

Water Street is located near Strand, where Liverpool FC has exposed Liverpool FC to the Premier League Cup from the bus top.
Thousands of people went out to celebrate the team's victory. The accident occurred one mile before the end of the show.
What was said?
Prime Minister Sir Kerr Starmer is kept on the latest developments.
It was published on X: “The scenes in Liverpool are horrific – my thoughts with all the injured or affected.
“I would like to thank the police and emergency services for their rapid and continuous response to this shocking accident.”
Conservative leader Kimi Badnoush said the pictures were “very worrying.”
She said: “My thoughts are with all the affected people, and emergency services while in response to what appears to be a terrible accident,” she said.
Liverpool FC said it was in contact with the police and “its ideas and prayers with those who were affected by this serious incident,” while the competitors Everton FC chanted the feelings.
Liverpool said in a statement: “Our ideas and prayers with those who were affected by this serious incident. We will continue to provide our full support for emergency services and local authorities that deal with this incident,” Liverpool said in a statement.
It is understood that the celebrations of Liverpool employees were postponed due to the accident.
The English Premier League also issued a statement saying: “Everyone in the Premier League suffers from horrific events in Liverpool this evening, and our heartfelt ideas come out to all the injured and were affected.
“We were in contact with Liverpool FC and we provided our full support after this serious accident.”
The mayor of the Liverpool city area, Steve Rottharham BBC, told the “absolute celebration” that he “overwhelmed the accident.” He urged the public to avoid speculation while the police continue to achieve them.
