Whitney Cummings lit up CNN New Year's Eve Live Especially with her fiery jokes that included a reference to Kathy Griffin, Anderson Cooper's former co-host.
Cummings appeared on the CNN special and immediately went on to mock Cooper and Andy Cohen.
“Was that thunder?” Cummings asked her co-hosts as she took the stage in Times Square in the middle of a rainy night.

Cohen was named the new co-host in 2017 and has been involved with the show ever since.
Cummings announced that she will continue her comedy tour in 2025, noting that she is “playing bigger and bigger venues.” The comedian then got a job at CNN, adding: “I thought being a mother meant fewer people wanted to see me. Now I'm playing like a 3,000-seat theater, which means CNN's viewership these days.”
Cummings was given the space to roast 2024 to “hold 2024 accountable for his behaviour”, with several big names in entertainment being mentioned.
“This was the year people were behaving very badly, and we started to feel sad for the killers,” Cummings said. “Remember, this was the year we were in, 'Were the Menendez Brothers so bad? Were we so hard on the Menendez Brothers?'
