Marinakis is the founder and chairman of the Capital Maritime & Trading Corp, an international shipping company, and this year's Greek shipping personality was voted by the British Lloyd Publications List in 2017.
He also invested in the media and his company, Alter Ego Media, bought two of the best daily newspapers known in Greece – TA Nea and Vima.
In 2019, a new TV channel launched one channel in Greece. Earlier this year, Alter Ego Media, the largest media organization in Greece, is floating in the Athens stock market.
In addition to possessing forests, he bought Marinakis Olympiakos in 2010.
Under its ownership, the Greek team won 11 titles in the local league and the European Conference League in 2024.
Marinakis also confirmed in December that he was holding talks to buy the Brazilian side Vasco da Gama.
He said: “We have a multi -divorce ownership and a lot of that business. I do not necessarily see it in this way.” “It is very difficult to combine business with football, especially with big teams when you need to win prizes, you need to participate in Europe.
“This does not necessarily mean that you can earn money – the opposite in many cases. We do not have an unlimited budget, we are not a government company or a company that can bear the money every year.
“We need to find a balance between what we spend and what we can achieve.”
While looking forward to extending his soccer empire, Marinakis has seduced Edo away from Arsenal.
EDU has not been officially announced by Forest, but it is widely expected to become the new global football manager to oversee all Marinaki clubs. Former Brazil International left Gunners five years later in November, after he was the sports director since 2022 and former coach.
He was at Wembley in April to watch Forest losing the FA Cup semi -finals against Manchester City.
The expected appointment of EDU is a sign of marinakin and the desire to raise forests to another, after buying it in May 2017 from Fawaz Hasawi.
Forest had just avoided landing to the first league with a goal difference, and Marinakis stated that his ambition was a return to the trip by saying that the club “belongs to the Premier League elite.”
They achieved the Premier League position for the first time in 23 years by winning the upgrade under Steve Cooper in 2022.
